I love 7-Layered Mexican Dip, affectionately called “GOD DIP” at my house because my brother-in-law will stand near the dip and just say, “Oh, God, This is So Good.”
Not sure if that’s blasphemy or a compliment.
Anyway, I have been making “God Dip” for about thirty years and thought it was time to try something new.
I found it.
Oh.My.Stars. I am in love with this Healthy Greek Layered Dip.
I was hesitant the first time I tried it; I was shocked when people not only liked it, they loved it.
I think people love it because it is different, with a bit of a sharp flavor, due to the Greek yogurt. But don’t worry, the flavor isn’t crazy, it’s actually nicely balanced by the tomatoes and other toppings.
I have come to love love love this layered dip because of its versatility. You need three basic ingredients for the base (Hummus, Greek yogurt and Feta Cheese) then you can mix and match the toppings according to whatever you have on hand. Seriously.
You can serve this unique-tasting dip with pita chips or Gluten Free crackers. Fresh vegetables also work great as dipping sticks, especially if you cut them in ways that make them dip-friendly.
I love hummus but sometimes, I want to bring more than “just hummus” to a party. I want something that will change your life.
